Gabion is known as , the material usually used of Galvanized, Galfan and PVC coated wire, Generally, a gabion is composed of hexagonal double twist steel wire mesh or welded wire mesh panels

Filled with rocks, gabion creates an integral robust unit for scour protection and erosion control from three aspects. Gabion efficiently improves the stability of river side slopes and protects them from scouring through ensuring a natural convection exchange between water body and earth. GABIONS and ES consist of rectangular units, fabricated from a double-twisted hexagonal mesh. The gabion box is divided into units by means of diaphragms positioned at approximately 1m centres. Filled with stones, gabions become large, flexible and permeable elements from which a broad range of structures may be built. Gabions and es are widely used for hydraulic and geo- technical control such as retaining walls, riverbank protections, weirs, channel linings etc.

Galvanized wire: Low carbon steel wire,diameter 2.0mm-4.0mm,the tensile strength of the steel wire not less than 380Mpa,the surface of the steel wire are protected by the galvanized coatings, the thickness of the zinc coated can be customized.

Zinc-aluminium alloy steel wire:(Also called Galfan steel wire)this is a new popular material on the international. The corrosion resistance of this wire is 3 times of the traditional galvanized wire. The wire dia canbe 1.0mm-3.0mm, and the tensile strength not less than 1380Mpa.

PVC coated wire: Twisted gabions after coating PVC on the surface of the low carbon steel wire. The PVC coating can give great protection on the heavy-pollution environment. And the alternatively colors can make it harmonious between the gabions and the surrounding environment.
